Management and professional team:
The management of the EDF is entrusted to a team of seven members with extensive and well-recognized professional and academic experience in Environmental Law:
- Mònica López Escardívol, President of the EDF, Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Universitat Rovira i Virgili and legal counsel for the Barcelona City Council.
- Àlex Peñalver i Cabré, Secretary of the EDF, Associate Professor of Administrative Law, coordinator of the Environmental Law course at the University of Barcelona, and a highly respected environmental lawyer with more than 14 years of professional experience (currently not practicing).
- Lluís-Xavier Toldrà i Bastida, Treasurer of the EDF, Associate Professor of Urban Planning Law at the University of Barcelona and a highly respected environmental lawyer with more than 14 years of professional experience.
- Francesc Espinal Trias, Board Member of the EDF, a highly respected environmental lawyer with more than 20 years of professional experience.
- Mar Aguilera Vaqués, Board Member of the EDF and Associate Professor of Constitutional Law and Fundamental Rights at the University of Barcelona.
- Sonia Lozano Goldberger, Board Member of the EDF, Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the University of Barcelona.
- Cristina Genescà Martell, current legal advisor to the EDF. Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
- Meritxell Cotrina Jové, current legal advisor to the EDF. Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law from Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
